The Client

Founded by Will Shu in 2013, Deliveroo is focused on bringing the best local restaurants direct to people’s doors. The company operates delivery services across 10 different markets worldwide, working with thousands of restaurants and grocers, thousands of riders, and serving millions of consumers.

With their core business, they noticed a need for more delivery-focused kitchen spaces to cater to their ever growing audience of consumers. So Deliveroo Editions was born - a dark kitchens provider integrated directly into their delivery ecosystem. Editions has grown to over 5 countries, providing affordable, custom, delivery-only kitchens in markets across the world.

The Challenge

Deliveroo needed a strategic technology partner to provide reliable connectivity and dedicated, multi-lingual support to underpin the expansion of both their Editions dark kitchen and HOP micro-fulfilment businesses.  ​

As with all last mile providers, connectivity is critical to business operations. Failure to provide reliable internet services means orders are missed, revenue is lost and consumers disappointed. ​

Before partnering with NCG, Deliveroo's internal teams were dealing with the headache of rapid Editions' expansion across the UK & Europe, launching HOP as a brand whilst also providing IT support to their existing restaurant partners. ​
