Building the Technology Behind the Channel Member Experience
"At Oneder, we want our spaces to feel warm, welcoming and effortless. Without all of the unseen elements working seamlessly, the experience of the space wouldn’t matter. WiFi is a crucial basic that we must get right in every building. NCG worked alongside our team throughout the development of Channel, giving us the flexibility and support we needed to get the space up and running. They now manage the network and support our members directly, simplifying technology for our team and giving us a platform that can grow with us as we bring new locations to life.”
- David Kaiser, Founder & CEO, Oneder
The Client
Oneder creates flexible workspaces designed to feel warm, welcoming and effortless. Channel, its four-floor workspace in King’s Cross, brings together coworking, private offices, meeting rooms and shared amenities as part of Oneder’s growing London portfolio.
Behind that experience, Channel needed a complete technology environment designed around the demands of modern flexible workspace.
The Challenge
Channel required integrated connectivity, WiFi and network infrastructure across four floors, while the technology needed to work alongside M&E, access control and AV systems as the fit-out evolved.
Permanent circuits were already on order, but critical services needed to be connected immediately to keep the project moving.
The infrastructure also needed to support secure tenant networks, different occupier requirements and future growth, while balancing upfront investment with a commercial model that could scale with the business.
Our Solution
NCG worked alongside Oneder and the wider project team from fit-out through to operation. Temporary connectivity kept critical services online, while NCG engineers supported the physical IT infrastructure and managed cabling moves, adds and changes as requirements evolved. NCG designed and delivered a 10Gb-capable NCG Spark managed network, with enterprise-grade WiFi, secure tenant connectivity and 24x7 monitoring and support.
A flexible CAPEX and OPEX pricing model helped reduce upfront investment. Existing circuits are also being novated to NCG, bringing connectivity, centralised pricing and billing, occupier onboarding, support and future upgrades together under one accountable technology partner.
The Results
Channel now has a resilient, scalable technology foundation designed around both member experience and operational simplicity.
The 10Gb-capable NCG Spark network supports all four floors, while NCG manages occupier onboarding and ongoing technology requirements. Oneder can also offer connectivity and additional technology services to occupiers, creating new revenue opportunities and greater return from its investment.
With NCG taking care of the technology, the Oneder team can focus on its members and growing the business. The partnership is already moving forward, with NCG now helping Oneder plan and design the technology for its next London location, The So at Bankside.
